All seniors age 55 and older are welcome to join the OWLS at their meetings on the fourth Monday of each month, unless otherwise notified. OWLS provides a wonderful opportunity for great Christian fellowship.
The official name for the organization is DWOWLS as other WELS affilated church members ages 55 and older from both Washington and Dodge Counties are also part of the membership and invited to participate in all events.
Meetings may include a speaker, trips, or other planned activities, combined with a lunch. Some of these activities include(d) a trip to the Green Bay Packer stadium and Hall of Fame combined with a boat trip off the shores of Green Bay, a trip to Drury Theater in Chicago, an annual Christmas party, a visit from "Martin Luther and his wife Katie," and other educational presentations related to financial planning and identity theft. A former Docge County Sheriff discussed his son's tour of duty in Iraq and Afghanistan. (For more information, see the specific program schedule below.)
